MAKE design studio designed and built this modern chicken coop for three chickens in urban Seattle. The coop is on castors for ease of movement. A screen floor keeps rodents and large animals out and the chickens in while providing a way to fertilize the ground below. A hinged door provides easy access to the egg filled nesting box located on the backside of the coop. The coop can become a chicken tractor by lifting the upper coop structure off the castor floor assembly. This is ideal for areas that need to have grass and weeds removed or soil aerated and fertilized. The chickens do the work for you!
