The wood bench was crafted from a pine tree that was steadily lifting one side of the front porch and compromising the structural integrity of the home’s foundation. Sadly, the tree had to be removed, but the trunk was saved to create a 16”x16”x8’ bench. The pine tree was rough sawn to size, mounted on castors and allowed to dry. The finished bench resides in our dining room as a hand crafted piece of furniture and a tribute to the pine tree that initiated our home construction project.
